I don’t know about you, but this week I have been very busy resting.
Sleeping 8+ hours a night, hostessing, wrapping presents, watching movies with my family, baking & baking & baking (these shortbread cookies are delish), playing board games, running in crisp cool air, taking a break from all things work, reading, catching up with friends, getting excited to spend some quality time with extended family (we leave tonight!), seeing my cousin star in the Nutcracker, taking the family Christmas card picture, and many more busy restful things.
I have spent a considerable amount of time reading this book that I saved specifically for this break:
I highly recommend it. A post will probably come soon of some lessons and quotes from it. I adore this girl and her work in Uganda. You can also visit her blog: Kisses from Katie.
Take some time to rest and refresh your soul in the Word this Christmas. Enjoy the time with family and friends. Also, my wish of Merry Christmas would not be complete without my favorite picture to capture the season:
Taken three (!) years ago. Our Christmas card to friends and family, from Greg, Josh, Jen, and me. Thanks again to everyone who helped make this picture possible; the picture that will come back to grace us every year. Love.
