Today is a day worth deeply celebrating.
Whether you celebrate with a new dress, dyeing eggs (calling them “easter eggs” or “resurrection eggs”), whether you embrace the pastels in all their might, have a fancy brunch, or simply sit in a church service and take it all in, remember to celebrate.
“By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I have preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve.”
-1 Corinthians 15:2-5
Paul goes on in 1 Corinthians 15 to prove the necessity of the Resurrection. Without it, our faith as believers is futile, to be pitied above all others.
But He has been raised. He gives us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
This has been out for a while, but my music of choice today is this from the Village Church:
Gospel-saturated lyrics, beautiful melodies, many talented artists, and theologically sound. One of my favorite songs of all time is on this: Only the Blood (a new version). See more here.
Celebrate today. He is risen! The stories are true!
